Story Place
Photography as storytelling…
Story Place is all about building visual literacy and storytelling skills through photography.
Story Place is an after school photography and storytelling program. Currently working with students from Tracy City Elementary, Story Place aims to encourage and bring out creativity in children through photography.
During weekly sessions, children are each given a camera and small assignments that aim to spark their imagination. These assignments usually require them to think outside of the box and work together using each other and their environment in order to tell a story through the photos they take.
Story Place takes place after school once a week at Tracy City Elementary. Currently run by Sara Hollis, Robinson Fellow, from The University of the South: Sewanee.
